375 FXUS63 KOAX 251033 AFDOAX Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Omaha/Valley NE 533 AM CDT Thu Sep 25 2025 .KEY MESSAGES... - Patchy fog will be possible this morning, particularly along rivers and other low-lying areas. - Patchy smoke may result in some hazy skies across the region today. - Expect a dry pattern through early next week, with temperatures in the 70s and 80s. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 302 AM CDT Thu Sep 25 2025 Some patchy fog may develop this morning, causing some reductions to visibility through mid-morning. The best chances for fog development will be along the Platte and Missouri rivers and other low-lying areas. Any fog should burn off by mid-morning. Patchy smoke moving in from the north may cause some hazy skies through the day. An upper ridge over the Rockies will shift east over the Central Plains today and Friday. Dry conditions with highs ranging from the upper 70s to mid-80s are expected today and tomorrow. Another upper ridge moves in over the weekend, settling in through early next week. Highs will be in the upper 70s to mid-80s and lows will be in the 50s and 60s. A shift in the pattern on Tuesday will bring southwest flow over the region and a shortwave trough into the Central High Plains. Dry conditions are expected to persist for now through the end of the forecast period. && .AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z FRIDAY/... Issued at 528 AM CDT Thu Sep 25 2025 KOFK: Patchy fog has developed over the terminal this morning, dropping visibilities to MVFR levels. Fog is expected to dissipate by around 14-15Z. For the rest of the day, expect light winds and a few passing clouds. Some smoke from the north may filter into the region; however, outside of some patchy haze, impacts to the terminal is not expected. KLNK/KOMA: Patchy fog has developed to the northwest of the terminals this morning. KLNK and KOMA may get some patchy fog development that would be short-lived. Otherwise, VFR conditions will prevail through the TAF period with light winds and a few mid-level clouds.
