- Near-normal temperatures will persist through the weekend with
  cool mornings and afternoon highs in the 80s. 

- No rain is in the forecast through mid-next week along with a
  gradual warming trend across the region.

/Through Friday/

A drier airmass and clear skies currently overspread North and 
Central Texas now that our Wednesday cold front has settled along
the Texas Gulf Coast. North-northeast winds will prevail through
the short-term forecast period keeping temperatures near or just
below normal for this time of year. Expect overnight lows in the
low to mid 60s and afternoon highs in the 80s through Friday. A
few rural locations west of I-35 may dip into the upper 50s
Thursday morning and Friday morning.

.LONG TERM... /NEW/
/This Weekend and Beyond/

A gradual warming trend will take place over the weekend and into
early next week as south-southeast winds return to the region and
mid/upper ridging redevelops over the Southern Plains. Expect
plenty of sun and afternoon highs in the mid 80s to low 90s
Saturday and Sunday. Near-normal temperatures will continue into
next week. No rain is in the forecast through at least the middle
of next week.
