...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EASTERN SIOUX AND SOUTHWESTERN
EMMONS COUNTIES THROUGH 100 AM CDT...
At 1231 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles west of Selfridge, or 19 miles north of Bullhead, moving
northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Fort Yates, Selfridge, Solen, Standing Rock, Cattail Recreation Area,
and northeastern Standing Rock Nation.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
