.DISCUSSION...
A Pacific upper level trough will slowly move across Wyoming and
into Nebraska, resulting in an unsettled weather pattern over
western Nebraska during the next 24 to 36 hours. Cooler temperatures
and widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms expected
Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. Showers and
thunderstorms are expected to begin between 5 pm to 10 pm later
today. Somewhat drier weather is expected for early next week.
.TODAY...
Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny early becoming mostly cloudy (60 to 75
percent) late. Isolated showers and thunderstorms
possible after 300 pm.
CWR.................5 percent.
Max temperature.....Around 80 degrees.
Min humidity........35 to 45 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........West winds 5 to 10 mph in the morning becoming
northeast in the afternoon. Gusty and erratic
winds expected near thunderstorms late in the
afternoon.
Mixing height.......6100 ft AGL.
Transport winds.....Northwest 7 to 9 mph shifting to the north in
the late morning and early afternoon, then
shifting to the east 9 to 13 mph late in the
afternoon.
Smoke dispersal.....Fair (58000 knot-ft) in the afternoon.
