Showers and thunderstorms are possible over western and northern portions of the region, and into the southern Canadian Prairie Provinces. A few storms could be strong to severe over the western half of the Region Thursday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will remain above normal through Friday. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will spread eastward Thursday night and Friday. Widespread showers are likely across much of the region this weekend, especially in the western Dakotas and eastern Montana late Friday and Saturday. Slightly cooler but still near average temperatures are expected for the weekend. $$
