.DISCUSSION...Critical fire weather conditions with gusty winds
and low humidity can be expected each afternoon and evening
through Friday. 

For the rest of today, gusty winds to around 20-25 mph will 
continue through about 6 pm, before gradually weakening. By 8 pm, 
we expect wind speeds to generally range from 6-10 mph, with a 
further decrease to light and variable overnight. The Red Flag
conditions should cease before 8 pm.  Humidity recovery will be 
good overnight despite the very dry airmass in place, and that's 
due to chilly overnight temperatures and a sharp but shallow 
inversion. This area should have light winds overnight, although 
an easterly downslope drainage wind is possible leading into the 
canyon, so something to watch for during the overnight. 

On Thursday, Red Flag conditions will redevelop Noon to 8 pm, with 
slightly windier conditions than today. Gusts around 30 mph will
be likely from Noon to 5-6 pm. A gradual decrease can be expected
thereafter. Humidity levels will drop sharply, along with a return
of very warm temperatures for the afternoon. Minimum RH is expected
to lower to about 13 percent.

Friday is expected to be windy and dry again during the afternoon,
with critical Red Flag conditions likely.
