By later this afternoon, a few isolated thunderstorms developed over northwest Kansas, with this activity capable of large hail and damaging winds. Daytime temperatures were below average for early August standards, ranging from 70s over northeast Kansas, to 80s over the rest of the state. Hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms will continue to impact Kansas this evening and tonight. A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible, mainly along and west of Interstate 135. Forecast low temperatures are in the upper 50s to mid 60s. An isolated thunderstorm or two cannot be ruled out across Kansas Monday, although most areas should remain dry. Forecast high temperatures remain below average mostly in the 80s. $$
