.DISCUSSION...There are two main impacts to the fire area tonight.
The first is east winds which will be increase between 1900 and
2100 and peak with gusts 20-25 mph before decreasing to variable
at 4-7 mph on the ridges through the rest of the night. The second
is an area of thunderstorms moving north through the Bitterroot
valley and Sapphire Mountains this evening. The east winds will
undercut those storms and cause them to die out, but they may
still be capable of producing lightning as the near the fire area
around 2000 to 2100.

Another round of thunderstorms is expected tomorrow. These storms
will be more widespread and have a better chance of causing heavy
rain. A direct hit from the core of a thunderstorm tomorrow will
likely bring around a quarter of an inch of rain. Anything other
than a direct hit will likely bring a few hundredths.
