This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
913 FXUS64 KMOB 041839 AFDMOB Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Mobile AL 139 PM CDT Fri Jul 4 2025 ...New Discussion, Marine... .DISCUSSION... Issued at 123 PM CDT Fri Jul 4 2025 Upper ridging remains dominant over the central US through the weekend while upper troughing remains over the east coast. Our forecast area remains between these two features today before a cutoff upper low/trough retrogrades west this weekend into early next week over the forecast area. Ridging will build in place of the upper low by early next week with a significantly moisture airmass returning by the middle of next week. Until then, a dry, hot airmass remains in place with only isolated showers and storms returning to areas southeast of the I-65 corridor this afternoon with more typical afternoon scattered showers and storms becoming established this weekend into next week as better moisture returns to the area. Hot temperatures can be expected each day with highs topping out in the lower to middle 90's and overnight lows in the lower to middle 70's. Heat indices will generally stay below heat advisory criteria in the 95 to 100 range, perhaps sneaking to near advisory criteria by the middle of next week in the 100 to 107 range. A Low risk of rip currents remains through the weekend and early next week. BB-8 && .AVIATION... (18Z TAFS) Issued at 1230 PM CDT Fri Jul 4 2025 VFR conditions will prevail over the next 24 hours, along with light and variable winds. /22 && .MARINE... Issued at 123 PM CDT Fri Jul 4 2025 No impacts are expected other than locally higher winds and seas possible near thunderstorms.
