.UPDATE...
Issued at 756 PM EDT Fri Jun 20 2025

Abundant moisture allowed for widespread showers and
thunderstorms to develop today, with fairly cool temperatures
aloft allowing for a few reports of small hail and marine wind
gusts. Early evening radar imagery is showing that the bulk of the
convection is winding down, but a few storms are still lingering
over the Nature Coast and the adjacent Gulf waters. Most of the
thunderstorm activity is expected to wind down by around midnight,
with rain free conditions holding through Saturday morning.

With the widespread rainfall, temperatures have fallen a bit
quicker than was previously forecast, so temperatures have been
dropped down for the next few hours. Otherwise, the only other
forecast update was to adjust rain chances and sky cover for the
next few hours to keep up with radar and satellite trends.

.AVIATION...
(00Z TAFS)
Issued at 756 PM EDT Fri Jun 20 2025

Afternoon thunderstorms are winding down around area TAF sites,
with some lingering showers possible over the next few hours, and
an outside chance of thunderstorms redeveloping between 00-04z and
impacting area terminals. VFR conditions should then hold through
the rest of the overnight period and through early Saturday
afternoon. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will develop
Saturday afternoon and evening, with the highest thunderstorm
chances between 20-01z.

.MARINE...
Issued at 245 PM EDT Fri Jun 20 2025

A light and variable flow today will gradually become more ESE over
the weekend, gradually increasing as this occurs. There will be an
onshore flow in the afternoon at the coast, with thunderstorms
expected to develop over Bay and Inland waters as this sea breeze
moves inland. However, the greatest window for impacts across
coastal waters will generally be in the evening and overnight,
gradually diminishing towards morning. While higher near
thunderstorms, winds should otherwise remain around 15 knots or
less, with seas of 2 feet or less.
