Temperatures in the lower to mid 90s combined with increasing humidity along the inland moving sea breeze will result in a brief period of heat indices warming to 105 to 108 degrees this afternoon. The risk for a brief period of excessive heat will be highest between the beaches of Charleston County and Highway 17. This includes Awendaw, Mount Pleasant, Downtown Charleston, West Ashley, Johns Island, James Island, Wadmalaw Island, Yonges Meggett, Hollywood, Ravenel and Adams Run PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
