For northern parts of the region, more isolated showers and a few rumbles of thunder are possible. Occasional isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are then expected through the weekend. A few storms may be severe on Saturday, mainly for the eastern Dakotas and northwestern Minnesota. Highs are expected to be mostly in the 60s and 70s through this weekend, with lows in the 40s and 50s most mornings. Smoke aloft could lead to on and of hazy skies through the weekend. $$
