.DISCUSSION...
Expect partly cloudy skies with light drainage flow through mid-morning,
before up-canyon easterly winds develop between 0800-1000. Shortly after
midday, expect some cumulus development with a chance of showers and
thunderstorms, persisting through early evening. As convection develops,
the potential for prevailing westerly winds will increase, especially
from 1400 onwards. A few gusts of 25-30 mph will be possible in the
vicinity of any thunderstorms.
Very good humidity recoveries are anticipated tonight with a return
to light drainage winds. Monday will bring prevailing west/northwest
winds, breezy at times, and a chance for light rain or a weak
thunderstorm in the afternoon.
.TODAY...
Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (50-80 percent). Rain showers
likely and chance of thunderstorms after 1200.
CWR.................8 percent increasing to 18 percent in the
afternoon.
Chance of pcpn......70 percent.
Chance of thunder...50 percent.
Max temperature.....Around 57.
Min humidity........46 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........West 3-6 mph through 0800, then east 5 to
8 mph until 1400, then west 5 to 10 mph. Gusty
and erratic winds expected near thunderstorms
after 1400.
Mixing height.......Below 1000 FT AGL until 0800, then 3100 ft AGL
until 1100, then 6400 ft AGL until 1600, then
3300 ft AGL.
