The National Weather Service in Des Moines  has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Worth County in north central Iowa...
  Northeastern Hancock County in north central Iowa...
  Northern Cerro Gordo County in north central Iowa...
  Southeastern Winnebago County in north central Iowa...

* Until 1000 PM CDT.

* At 910 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Garner,
  moving northeast at 60 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Joice, Portland, McIntosh Woods State Park, Forest City Municipal
  Airport, Grafton, Mason City, Eagle Lake State Park, Kensett,
  Garner, Clear Lake, Ventura, Bolan, Nora Springs, Eagle Lake, Mason
  City Municipal Airport, Hayfield, Pilot Knob State Park, Plymouth,
  Fertile, and Manly.

This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 189 and 214.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for north central
Iowa.
