...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM CDT
FOR UNION...NORTHEASTERN RINGGOLD AND WESTERN CLARKE COUNTIES...
At 1045 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Thayer, or 14
miles east of Creston, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.
SOURCE...Public. At 10:43 pm, quarter sized hail was reported
a mile south of Afton.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Arispe, Thayer, Shannon City, Afton, Murray, Murray Roadside Rest
Area, and Lorimor.
