The National Weather Service in Des Moines  has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Cass County in southwestern Iowa...
  Adair County in southwestern Iowa...

* Until 1000 PM CDT.

* At 912 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northwest
  of Fontanelle, or 10 miles northwest of Greenfield, moving east at
  30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Greenfield, Lake Anita State Park, Stuart, Fontanelle, Greenfield
  Municipal Airport, Nodaway Park, Anita, Anita Municipal Airport,
  and Adair.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 74 and 97.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for southwestern
Iowa.
