FOR NORTHEASTERN POLK AND WESTERN JASPER COUNTIES...
At 1220 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Prairie City,
or 10 miles east of Altoona, moving northeast at 55 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Mingo, Prairie City Krohn Airport, Prairie City, Mitchellville,
Bondurant, Valeria, Colfax, Runnells, Altoona, and Pleasant Hill.
This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 144 and 160.
