VFR conditions will prevail for the most part except for brief MVFR/IFR
near isoalted to scattered storms along the coast this afternoon.
Some isolated storms inland this evening. Not expecting much
convection overnight, then isolated to scattered storms again on
Wednesday. Light winds expected through the period. DS/12

An upper level trough over the eastern seaboard will slowly move 
east as an upper level ridge builds over the ARK-LA-TEX region. 
In between these features across the Gulf coast, a Northwest flow 
aloft will prevail with light southerly flow at the surface. A 
typical diurnal precip pattern will continue with scattered to 
locally numerous showers and thunderstorms developing this 
afternoon. The concentration will be highest along the afternoon 
seabreeze across eastern zones. Drier conditions expected across 
western areas under the influence of the upper ridge. Frequent 
lightning and locally heavy rain will remain the primary threats. 
Highs in the mid/upper 90s combined with dewpoints in the upper 
70s will lead to heat index values up to 111. As a result, a heat 
advisory remains in effect today for the entire area from 10am 
until 7pm. /13
