Wabash River at Montezuma. .Rainfall amounts of one to two inches across central Indiana yesterday, combined with widespread rains of one to two inches earlier in the week, is bringing elevated river levels to the area. Minor lowland flooding is occurring on the Wabash River at Montezuma, which started late Saturday afternoon and is expected to last into Sunday night. River levels should crest close to flood stage in the Hutsonville and Riverton area. Flood warnings may be later needed for these locations. Flooding is not expected for the foreseeable future for forecast locations along the White and East Fork rivers and their tributaries. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
