This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Mountain snow will increase in coverage and intensity today which
will increase the likelihood of travel impacts. The northern
mountains still remain favored for the heaviest amounts with this
storm which includes the Park Range, US-34, US-40, and Rocky
Mountain National Park. Accumulating snow and blowing snow will be
the main concerns for impacts. Southward towards I-70 mountain
areas, snow is likely, but with lower amounts than the north
mountains. Slick conditions may also accompany these areas. Areas
of the Palmer Divide and north border may also receive up to a
dusting of snow early Friday with minimal travel impacts expected.

High winds develop, especially this afternoon and evening. A High
Wind Watch is in effect for the east plains this afternoon with
gusts up to 60mph possible in some spots tonight.

Patchy below-freezing temperatures are possible tonight over the
plains.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Windy conditions will continue on the plains Friday but should
begin to decrease by midday.

A widespread freeze is expected late Friday into early Saturday
over most of northeast Colorado.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight but
snowfall and wind reports would be appreciated.
