Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Wyoming and WRN South Dakota
National Weather Service Rapid City SD
432 AM MDT Sun Oct 1 2023

.DISCUSSION...Warm air will remain across much of the area today,
with highs in the 80s to lower 90s south and east of the Black
Hills. Gusty south to southeast winds can be expected across much
of the South Dakota plains later this morning and afternoon,
especially over south-central South Dakota where there will be
some gusts to 50 mph.

Cooler and unsettled weather will gradually return to the area
tonight and early this week as a cold front and upper level system
slowly cross the region. Chances for showers and some thunderstorms
can be expected tonight through the first half of the week. There
will be a good chance for wetting rains in many areas late Monday
and Monday night.
