749 PM CDT Thu Sep 14 2023 /649 PM MDT Thu Sep 14 2023/

A line of showers and thunderstorms along a surface cold front
spanning from southeastern South Dakota through northeastern
Minnesota is moving eastward across the region. Isolated showers
may develop behind this boundary later tonight as a weaker,
trailing cold front moves in from the northwest. Areas of smoke
from Canadian wildfires will impact portions of the Dakotas
tonight through Friday morning. Overnight low temperatures will
range from the upper 40s northwest to upper 50s southeast.

Lingering showers and thunderstorms will move through
southeastern South Dakota and much of Minnesota Friday before
exiting the region late in the day. Daytime high temperatures
through the end of the week are expected to be in the upper 60s to
mid 70s for much of the region, with some parts of South Dakota
and southern Minnesota reaching into the lower 80s. Temperatures
will begin to trend warmer through the weekend and into the start
of next week.
