Bulk Download Help
This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
678 FXUS63 KOAX 121048 AFDOAX Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Omaha/Valley NE 548 AM CDT Tue Sep 12 2023 ...Updated Aviation Forecast Discussion... .DISCUSSION... Issued at 307 AM CDT Tue Sep 12 2023 Key Messages: - Below average temperatures and dry conditions are expected through Thursday - A weak cold front will bring chances for rain to the region from Thursday evening through early Saturday morning. Upper level ridging over the northern Plains will keep precipitation chances out of the region through Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will continue to be below average with highs in the 70s and lows in the upper 40s and low 50s. Humidity will also remain low across the region with dew points in the 40s. Thursday evening, a weak cold front will approach the region from the northwest. This will bring chances for rain showers across northeast Nebraska for Thursday night (20-30%), and for the entire region Friday afternoon/night (20-40%). Recent model trends have begun to depict faster frontal motion compared to previous runs, so rain chances in southwest Iowa and southeast Nebraska for Saturday morning appear to be diminishing at this time (<20%). Saturday through the end of the forecast period, seasonable temperatures (highs around 80) and dry conditions will prevail across the region as another high pressure system builds into the northern Plains. && .AVIATION...(For the 12Z TAFS through 12Z Wednesday morning) Issued at 546 AM CDT Tue Sep 12 2023 VFR conditions through the period with winds less than 12 knots.
