The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Mohave County in northwestern Arizona...
  Northeastern Clark County in southern Nevada...

* Until 730 AM MST /730 AM PDT/.

* At 329 AM MST /329 AM PDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms 
  producing very heavy rain east of Callville Bay on Lake Mead, 
  extending east toward South Cove and northwest Mohave County. The 
  expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding 
  is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water
           crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  South Cove, Meadview, Overton Beach, Echo Bay, Temple Bar 
  Campground, Echo Bay Campground, Grand Canyon Skywalk, Grand 
  Canyon Ranch, Valley Of Fire and Temple Bar.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

If on land, campers and hikers should avoid washes and low-lying 
areas and seek higher ground. If on the water, put on a life jacket, 
make your way to a sheltered cove or inlet, and write down GPS 
coordinates in case a rescue is needed.
