...New AVIATION, NEAR TERM...

.AVIATION...
(18Z TAFS)
Issued at 1249 PM CDT Sun Jul 23 2023

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms continue this
afternoon into early evening, primarily south of the I-65
corridor. VFR conditions prevail across the area outside of some
MVFR ceilings that have settled in along and south of I-65. Expect
these to gradually lift back to VFR outside of any storms. VFR
conditions should prevail this evening into tonight and the day
Monday. Winds shift to northerly around 5kts tonight into Monday.

.NEAR TERM...
(Now through Monday)
Issued at 1249 PM CDT Sun Jul 23 2023

A few showers and storms remain across the forecast area this
afternoon into evening, primarily along and south of the I-65
corridor. Anticipate some increase in coverage as we head through
the rest of this afternoon, but generally expect no better than
scattered coverage across the forecast area. A surface boundary
continues to sag southward, and should help to dry out the area
through the evening into the overnight hours. Monday will likely
stay dry owing to dry air aloft filtering in across the forecast
area barring a stray storm or two along the immediate coast. Warm
temperatures return for Monday with highs topping out in the lower
to middle 90's. Perhaps a pleasant change of pace will be heat
indices remaining low in the lower to middle 90's thanks to the
much drier air working into the area. The rip current risk along
the coast remains low through Monday. MM/25
