Be aware of thunderstorms in your area and be prepared to take shelter. .Excessive Rainfall...Flooding of urban areas, roads, small streams, and washes. Isolated flash floods possible especially interior Puerto Rico. .Excessive Heat...Heat index up to 103 degrees along the north coastal plains of Puerto Rico from Arecibo to San Juan. Heat exhaustion possible with prolonged exposure. .Rip Currents...There is a high risk of life-threatening rip currents in the surf zone particularly along the northern beaches of Puerto Rico from San Juan west. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Excessive heat is expected most days along the north central coasts of Puerto Rico. There is an elevated chance of excessive rainfall on Friday, but a limited risk still exists in the interior portion of the island through Wednesday. Isolated thunderstorms are expected Friday and Saturday. Winds of 17 knots or greater are expected in the Atlantic near shore waters Monday through Wednesday and in the Cabo Rojo area on Wednesday. There is a high risk of rip currents on Friday for many beaches with a northern exposure and a moderate risk on many coasts Saturday through Wednesday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
