High pressure will build into the region later today bringing
cooler and drier air to the Mid-South. Windy conditions are
expected this morning across northern sections of the region and a
Wind Advisory is in effect. Temperatures will be a little warmer
on Sunday as winds shift to the south. Showers will return to the
Mid-South Sunday night into Monday as a warm front lifts north
across the region. Warmer and more humid air will be in place for
Monday night and Tuesday. This will set the stage for possible
severe thunderstorms Tuesday night as a cold front moves through
the region. Scattered showers and cooler temperatures are expected
for Wednesday through Friday.

Skies are partly cloudy for much of the Mid-South early this
morning with temperatures ranging from the lower 60s to lower 70s.
The last of the thunderstorms are currently moving across Monroe
County, MS and should be gone in the next hour or so. Much drier
air has moved into northern sections of the Mid-South with
dewpoints in the lower 40s to lower 50s.
Today will be a dry day across the entire region as the drier air
continues to move into the remainder of the Mid-South. Temperatures
will be cooler with highs from around 60 degrees to the mid 70s.
Windy conditions are expected across northern sections of the
Mid-South this morning and a Wind Advisory will be in effect from
7:00 am until 1:00 pm. Tonight will see more dry and cooler
weather as high pressure settles over the region. Temperatures
will be on the chilly side with lows Sunday morning in the upper
30s to mid 40s. Sunday will see warmer weather as winds shift back
to the south. Temperatures will return back to near normal levels
with highs in the mid 60s to mid 70s.
By Sunday night, a warm front start to lift north into southern
Mississippi and northern Louisiana. Showers are expected to
develop north of the warm front across the Mid-South and will
continue through the overnight hours and into Monday morning.
Temperatures will be milder Sunday night with lows Monday morning
mainly in the 50s. As the warm front moves through the Mid-South
on Monday, showers will gradually move out of the region.
Temperatures will be warmer with highs in the lower 70s to lower
80s. Monday night will be dry and quite warm for early April with
lows Tuesday morning in the mid to upper 60s.
By Tuesday, a large storm system will develop over northwest
Kansas and move rapidly northeast reaching eastern Wisconsin by
Wednesday morning. A cold front associated with the low will
approach the region by late Tuesday night. Dry weather will
continue during the morning hours on Tuesday with highs in the
low to mid 80s. Scattered thunderstorms will start to move into
the Mid-South by Tuesday afternoon. Thunderstorms will become more
numerous by Tuesday evening with strong to severe thunderstorms
possible. The cold front will move through eastern sections of the
Mid-South Wednesday morning bringing cooler air back to the
region.
A series of upper-level disturbances will move across the region
from Wednesday night through Friday bringing scattered showers
during the period. Temperatures will be at or below normal levels
for Wednesday night through Friday.

as high pressure shifts across the area. West wind will remain
gusty this afternoon, becoming calm tonight. South wind 5-10kt
