This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
568 AWCA82 TJSJ 260922 CCA RWSPR PRZ001>013-262030- Weather Summary for Puerto Rico...CORRECTED National Weather Service San Juan PR 522 AM AST Mon Dec 26 2022 During the overnight hours, a plume of low level moisture in the prevailing trade winds brought periods of clouds and showers to the local waters and mainly portions of the north and east coastal areas of PR and the adjacent islands. These showers were fast moving and estimated rainfall accumulations so far were a tenth of an inch or less. Winds were generally light and variable but slightly higher with the passing showers. Minimum temperatures ranged from the upper 50s to low 60s across the higher elevation and valleys to the low to mid 70s across coastal areas. Few passing showers will continue to affect the east sections of Puerto Rico during the rest of the early morning, but should diminish by late morning leaving partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies and fair weather conditions. A few brief showers may also develop during the afternoon over the west interior, as well as over the east interior by late afternoon in the form of streamers which may also affect parts of the San Juan metro. Rainfall accumulations are however expected to be minimal as the shower activity will be fast moving. Breezy conditions can be expected especially along the coastal areas with winds from the east between 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s along the lower elevations to the low to mid 70s in the higher elevations. Hazardous marine and coastal conditions will continue across the regional waters, associated with a long-period northerly swell affecting the local Atlantic waters and passages as well as moderate to locally fresh easterly winds. Seas of up to around 10 feet will persist, with periods between 12 and 17 seconds. Breaking waves between 8 and 13 feet will remain possible for beaches exposed to the north or northeast. East winds of 10 to 20 knots will maintain choppy seas, resulting in some confused seas in combination with the northerly swell. Small Craft Advisories, High Surf Advisories, and High Risk of Rip Currents remain in effect. Beaches along southern portions of the islands also have a moderate risk of rip currents. $$ This product is issued around 5 AM and 5 PM each day and weather conditions may change between issuances.
