Bulk Download Help
This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.

Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwestern California
National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard CA
210 PM PDT Tue Jul 5 2022
...HOT AND DRY CONDITIONS OVER VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS FRIDAY THROUGH AT
LEAST SUNDAY WITH LOCALLY BREEZY WINDS AND ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS...
.DISCUSSION...
A persistent trough of low pressure will remain in place along the
Pacific Northwest through Wednesday, maintaining below normal
temperatures and humidities generally well above 20 percent. Southwest
to northwest gusts of 25 to 35 mph will impact mountains, interior
valleys, and Central Coast each afternoon and night, with Sundowner
gusts of 35 to 45 mph over southwest Santa Barbara County. The marine
layer will remain between 1000 and 2000 feet. A large area of high
pressure will push into the southwest states from the east Thursday
through early next week. This will bring significant warming and drying,
with highs between 90 and 100 common over most valleys and mountains,
and minimum humidities into the 8 to 20 percent over the interior. The
southwest to northwest winds heading into this period will weaken some,
but remain present. As a result, elevated fire weather conditions are
possible where the winds are strongest and air is driest.
