.DISCUSSION...
A Fire Danger Statement has been issued for portions of north and
central Georgia for today due to critical RH values.
Minimum relative humidity values across the area are slightly
lower than forecast due to higher winds mixing down very dry air
just off the surface. Currently seeing majority of the area in the
low to mid 20s, with patchy areas in the teens over central
Georgia. Expecting this trend to continue through the rest of the
afternoon. Southeast winds should remain between 5 to 10 mph
today, with occasional gusts to 15 mph possible.
Clouds should increase over the area Tuesday morning ahead of an
approaching system, with overcast skies by Tuesday afternoon as
rain spreads across the area from the southwest. Rain is expected
to remain through Wednesday, with total rainfall amounts of 1 to
2.0 inches along and south of I-20, and under 1 inch north of this
corridor.
