Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
949 PM EST Wed Feb 23 2022

.UPDATE...
The forecast remains on track this evening, with a high pressure
ridge axis continuing to stretch into the Florida peninsula from
the Atlantic. Afternoon clouds have largely diminished as of
around 9pm. However, fog is expected to develop again overnight
tonight, mainly west of I-95. Dense fog will be possible again,
especially west of I-4, with visibilities 1 mile or less at
times. Drivers should use caution overnight and through the
morning commute. Guidance suggests fog could linger a couple of
hours longer after sunrise than this morning, though any lingering
fog should burn off by mid-morning. Onshore flow continuing, with
lows in the low 60s, with upper 50s possible in rural areas.
