.DISCUSSION...

...Breezy, Cooler/Drier Today, Cold Tonight...

...Hazardous Conditions Continue across the Local Atlantic Waters...

Current-Tonight...Only cosmetic changes to ongoing forecast. A
fairly tight pressure gradient will exist today as WNW winds pick up
to 15-20 mph and gusty across much of the area. Winds will veer a
bit more to NW this evening and gradually diminish to around 5 mph.
Expect another shot of dry/cold air filtering down the peninsula
tonight with some of the coldest temperatures of the season.
Decreasing clouds this morning with MClear skies tonight.

Cooler today with readings in the L60s north of I-4 and M-U60s
southward thru Okeechobee County and the Treasure Coast. Expect
temperatures to drop pretty quickly after sunset with eventual lows
overnight in the U30s to L40s areawide, except some M30s across
normally cooler rural locations over the interior. Some patchy frost
will also be possible over our normally cooler (rural) spots of the
interior, especially areas that are sheltered. We are NOT
anticipating any freeze/wind chill (winds too low) products
(advisory/warning) across ECFL overnight.

&&

.AVIATION...Some pesky MVFR CIGs this morning across the I-4
corridor, but expecting mainly VFR for the remainder of today and
into tonight. A fairly tight gradient continues as westerly winds
increase to 15-20 kts and gusty across much of ECFL late this
morning/afternoon before diminishing this evening to around 5 kts
out of the NW. A weak, reinforcing frontal trough will push across
the area with additional dry/cold air.

&&

.MARINE...Today-Tonight...A Small Craft Advisory continues
for all marine legs. Hazardous marine conditions continue into
tonight. WNW winds 20-25 kts and gusty over the open Atlc becoming
NW and gradually decreasing tonight, eventually falling to 14-16 kts
by daybreak Tue morning. Seas 4-6 ft near shore and 6-9 ft over the
Gulf Stream will slowly subside to 3-4 ft near shore and 4-6 ft Gulf
Stream by daybreak Tue morning.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...Previous...Today...Cooler and drier conditions with
breezy west winds 15-20 mph and gusty. Min RH values generally in
the 40s this afternoon but could dip below 40 percent north of I 4.
Drier/colder air, yet, will filter down the peninsula tonight.
Dispersion values will be Very Good with westerly sfc and transport
winds.
