...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following
areas, northeast Martin and extreme southeastern St. Lucie.
* WHEN...Until 500 PM EST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 334 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Port Saint Lucie, Stuart, Jensen Beach, Palm City, North
River Shores, Nettles Island, Ocean Breeze Park, Waveland and
Hutchinson Island South.
