Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Jacksonville FL
325 AM EDT Sat Sep 11 2021

.Near Term.../through Sunday/...

Surface high pressure will be northeast of the region this period,
with a stationary front across north central FL. This pattern will
result in an onshore flow. Fairly dry air will be in place across
interior SE GA, with better moisture over NE FL closer to the
frontal zone. As a result, the best chance for convective activity
will be across NE FL Today. As moisture increases across area
Sunday, the chances will increase and may spread into SE GA.

Temperatures will trend a little below normal this period.

&&

.Short Term.../Sunday night through Tuesday night/...

High pressure will remain to the northeast this period. This will
continue the onshore flow pattern with daily rounds of mainly
diurnal convection.

Temeratures will trend near seasonal averages this period.

&&

.Long Term.../Wednesday through Friday/...

Surface high pressure will slowly move more toward the northeast
this period. An inverted trough is expected to develop over area
Wednesday through Thursday. This trough is anticipated to move to
the northeast Friday. The presence of this trough will lead to an
above average chance for convection this period.

Near normal temperatures expected this period.

.Marine...

High pressure will be northeast of the region through the weekend
into next week. The high will move further toward the northeast
later in the week, as an inverted trough develops over the region.
