Surface high pressure will be northeast of the region this period, with a stationary front across north central FL. This pattern will result in an onshore flow. Fairly dry air will be in place across interior SE GA, with better moisture over NE FL closer to the frontal zone. As a result, the best chance for convective activity will be across NE FL Today. As moisture increases across area Sunday, the chances will increase and may spread into SE GA. Temperatures will trend a little below normal this period. && .Short Term.../Sunday night through Tuesday night/... High pressure will remain to the northeast this period. This will continue the onshore flow pattern with daily rounds of mainly diurnal convection. Temeratures will trend near seasonal averages this period. && .Long Term.../Wednesday through Friday/... Surface high pressure will slowly move more toward the northeast this period. An inverted trough is expected to develop over area Wednesday through Thursday. This trough is anticipated to move to the northeast Friday. The presence of this trough will lead to an above average chance for convection this period.
