This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
299 FXUS63 KSGF 061724 AFDSGF Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Springfield MO 1224 PM CDT Mon Sep 6 2021 .SHORT TERM...(Today and tonight) Issued at 200 AM CDT Mon Sep 6 2021 For today, warmer and dry weather can be expected across the region with highs in the middle to upper 80s. Meanwhile, mostly clear skies will allow for plenty of sunshine. For tonight, overnight lows will fall into the lower 60s, with a few locations across the eastern Ozark valleys dipping into the 50s. .LONG TERM...(Tuesday through Sunday) Issued at 200 AM CDT Mon Sep 6 2021 For Tuesday, breezy southwest winds will accompany a warm day across the area with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. An upper level trough and associated cold front will slide across the central CONUS Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Current expectations are for a dry frontal passage given the lack of moisture availability and forcing. A cooler air mass will move into the region behind the frontal passage with highs Wednesday and Thursday in the lower to middle 80s. The coolest night of the week will be overnight Wednesday with lows in the middle to upper 50s across the area, and a few locations in the valleys of eastern Ozarks near 50. Upper level ridging builds back into the region as we head into the weekend. This will allow for temperatures to climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s through at least Sunday and potentially beyond. The above normal temperatures through the upcoming weekend will be accompanied by little to no rain chances. && .AVIATION...(For the 18Z TAFS through 18Z Tuesday afternoon) Issued at 1219 PM CDT Mon Sep 6 2021 VFR conditions will persist through Tuesday afternoon with little in the way of cloud cover. Surface winds will remain light out of the southwest to south through early Tuesday morning, but will become gusty out of the southwest by late morning. Gusts over 20 mph are likely, especially around Joplin and Springfield. && .SGF WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... MO...NONE. KS...NONE. && $$ SHORT TERM...Perez LONG TERM...Perez AVIATION...Schaumann
