This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD
). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
040 FXUS64 KTSA 021904 AFDTSA Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tulsa OK 204 PM CDT Mon Aug 2 2021 .DISCUSSION... A very hazy but pleasant afternoon is underway across eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas as wildfire smoke from the Pacific Northwest/Canada continues to filter into the area. The persistent northwest flow aloft over the next few days will maintain the smokey/hazy conditions through much of the first part of the week at least. Otherwise... several below normal days are in store for the first week of August, with highs topping out mostly in the 80s and lower humidity values keeping heat indices down as well. Morning lows will generally be in the low to mid 60s, though a few locations could drop into the upper 50s across far northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas, especially Wednesday morning when surface high pressure settle over the area. A few isolated showers and storms are possible in the afternoon today and tomorrow, especially across southeast Oklahoma and western Arkansas where better low level moisture remains leading to higher instability in those locations. Some patchy fog will also be possible tonight, especially across parts of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Trends continue to suggest an upper wave dropping southeast into the region Thursday night into Friday which could bring at least some slight rain chances to parts of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Guidance keeps most of the rain north of the area, but later forecasts may need to up chances as it gets closer. This wave will quickly exit and mid level heights begin to rise heading into the weekend bringing a return to summertime heat and humidity Friday and especially into the weekend with heat indices returning to the 105-110 range.
