Weather Summary for Puerto Rico...CORRECTED
National Weather Service San Juan PR
530 AM AST Wed May 26 2021

Partly cloudy skies were observed across Puerto Rico during the
overnight hours. Doppler radar detected quick passing showers over
parts of northern and eastern Puerto Rico. Rainfall accumulations
were marginal. Overnight low temperatures ranged from the mid 70s
a log coastal areas to low 60 across elevated areas. Winds were
light and variable with land breeze influence.

Today, the forecast calls for unstable weather conditions. The
mid- to upper- level trough will enhance showers across the area.
Also, associated moisture due to a weak easterly perturbation
will combine with favorable conditions aloft to produce localized
strong thunderstorms over parts of interior and western Puerto
Rico. Although there is a slight chance for small hail, the main
threats from these thunderstorms will be urban and small stream
flooding, frequent lightning and gusty winds. Daytime high
temperatures are expected to reach the high 80s along the coastal
regions.

Across the regional waters, choppy conditions are expected to
continue due to seas up to 5 feet. Winds will be from the east at
15-20 knots. There is a moderate risk of rip currents for all but
the southern and western beaches of Puerto Rico.
