Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
353 AM MDT Tue May 25 2021

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Isolated showers and
thunderstorms will end across Eastern Colorado early this morning
with brief rain and gusty winds. Otherwise, weak high pressure
will bring generally dry conditions and slightly warmer
temperatures today. Smoke dispersal will improve to at least the
good category in most locations this afternoon.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...
Southwesterly flow aloft is expected on Wednesday, with a weak
upper trough to move across Wednesday night into Thursday. It will
be dry over the mountains and foothills with a chance of storms
over the northeast plains in the afternoon and evening. There will
be more upper ridging Thursday through Saturday. There could be
slightly elevated fire danger over the high mountain valleys
Wednesday and Thursday afternoons due to low relative humidities;
however the fuels should still be somewhat wet.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
