.Synopsis... A front, initially advancing from the NW, will affect
the waters through most of the forecast period. High pressure
building behind the front will bring a period of gale force winds to
the NW and N waters.

...GALE WARNING THROUGH LATE THIS AFTERNOON FOR WATERS AROUND KAUAI
AND KAUAI CHANNEL...

.REST OF TODAY...Southwest winds 35 knots around Kauai...south
10 to 15 knots elsewhere. Wind waves 10 feet around Kauai, 3 
feet elsewhere. Northeast swell 2 to 3 feet and east 3 to 6 feet.
Scattered heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...Northeast winds 20 to 30 knots around Kauai and 
Oahu...south to southwest 15 knots or less elsewhere. Wind waves 
3 to 6 feet, building to 6 to 9 feet Kauai and Oahu waters late. 
North to northeast swell 4 to 7 feet, building to 6 to 10 feet
late. East swell 2 to 4 feet. Scattered heavy showers and 
isolated thunderstorms.
.SATURDAY...Northeast winds 20 to 30 knots around Kauai and 
Oahu... north to northeast 15 to 25 knots elsewhere. Wind waves 5 
to 10 feet. North swell 7 to 10 feet, building 8 to 14 feet, 
highest N. Heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms.

to 30 kt, increasing to 25 to 35 kt late. SE of front, SE to S
winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 7 to 13 ft, highest NW half. Isolated 
thunderstorms.
.TONIGHT...Front over central waters. NW half, NE winds 25 to 35 
kt. SE half, SE to S winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 8 to 18 ft, highest
NW half. Isolated thunderstorms.
.SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT...Front over central waters. NW half, NE
winds 25 to 35 kt. SE half, variable winds 15 kt or less, becoming
E 15 kt or less Saturday night. Seas 8 to 17 ft, highest NW half.
