Waupaca was the warm spot at 54 degrees. Tonight, a wintry mix of snow, rain, and freezing rain is expected to arrive late tonight into Sunday morning. Precipitation will be mainly snow north of a line from Tomahawk to Iron Mountain. Wet, heavy snow amounting to 3 to 5 inches of accumulation are forecast north of line, with locally higher amounts to around 6 inches possible. Across the Fox Valley and east- central WI mainly rain is expected. In between, a wintry mix of rain, freezing rain, and snow is expected. Snow amounts of 1 to 3 inches are forecast along with a light glaze of ice. Travel will likely become hazardous north and west of the Fox Valley in areas that develop snowy or icy road conditions. The precipitation will end Sunday afternoon. For the rest of Sunday, mostly cloudy skies are expected with some clearing shortly before sunset. Highs will range from the lower 30s to lower 40s. $$ KLJ
