Light and variable to light south winds were common across the area as warming temperatures ranged from the upper 80s to the upper 90s by early this afternoon. OUTLOOK... Warm temperatures today will cool somewhat on Friday following the passage of a cold front. Highs on Friday will range from the middle 80s to the middle 90s. Behind the cold front, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms late Friday afternoon will increase to a likely chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday evening and Friday night. There is a possibility of isolated severe storms producing hail to one inch and winds gusting over 60 mph Friday evening. A chance of showers and thunderstorms returns by late Saturday with a possibility of isolated storms producing large hail and damaging wind mainly south of Interstate 70 Saturday evening. Cooler temperatures will continue into next week with highs in the middle 70s to middle 80s and lows in the 50s. There is currently a slight chance of thunderstorms each day from Sunday through Wednesday. $$
