THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...REST OF TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Rain chances will remain above normal this afternoon, with
scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms developing across
the interior by early afternoon and shifting eastward toward the
Atlantic coast and offshore through late afternoon to early
evening. Some stronger storms are expected to occur, especially
toward the coast of east central Florida, producing frequent
lightning strikes, strong gusts of 45 to 55 mph and localized
heavy rainfall.

Storm motion will be toward the east up to 10 to 15 mph, so be
alert for approaching storms from the west this afternoon. If
planning outdoor activities, make sure to seek shelter in a
building or hard-topped vehicle when thunder is first heard.

.FLOOD IMPACT...
Localized heavy rainfall of 2 to 4 inches will be possible with
any stronger storms, especially toward the east central Florida
coast from mid to late afternoon. This will lead to an increased
threat for standing water issues along roadways and poor drainage
areas. This will be especially true for locations that have
already seen repeated rounds of heavy rainfall over the past few
days across Brevard County and the Treasure Coast.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
A lingering east swell and larger than normal tidal range will
contribute to a moderate risk of life-threatening rip currents at
east central Florida beaches. Remember to swim within sight of a
lifeguard.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Scattered to numerous storms developing over the interior of
Florida will move toward the Atlantic coast by mid to late
afternoon. A few of the stronger storms will likely produce gusty
winds in excess of 35 knots. Boaters should be prepared to seek
safe harbor as storms move across the inland lakes and toward
intracoastal, near shore and offshore Atlantic waters.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected each afternoon
through this week. Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning strikes,
torrential downpours, and gusty winds will be the main threats
with any strong storms that develop.

A Moderate risk of life-threatening rip currents will likely
continue at the east central Florida Atlantic beaches through late
week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are requested to monitor the weather and self activate
if needed. Spotters are encouraged to report rainfall amounts
over two inches, and any reports of flooding.
