...NEAR RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE WEEKEND...

.NEAR TERM [Tonight through Friday]...Breezy easterly winds will
gradually ease this evening as surface ridge centered over the
Carolinas shifts to the south into central Fl by morning. Fog and
low clouds may develop late tonight as winds become light from the
south southwest and advect moisture off the Gulf. Fog may become
dense by morning especially over western zones of the area. Dry
and warm conditions will prevail as a sw flow returns and deep
layer ridge builds in from the Gulf. Maximum temperatures will be
in the lower 90s inland and mid/upper 80s coast where an afternoon
seabreeze will develop.

.SHORT TERM [Friday night through Sunday night]...Hot and dry
conditions will persist as strong high pressure ridge remains
over the Gulf of Mexico and Florida peninsula. Southwest winds
will keep the east coast seabreeze from moving too far inland.
High temperatures will reach the low/mid 90s inland...and upper
80s generally east of the I-95 corridor. A weakening cold front will
move se across the area Sunday night with no precipitation
expected as upper support remains well to the north.

.LONG TERM [Monday through Thursday]...Temperatures will be a few
degrees cooler on Monday but still above normal as winds become
onshore. Another cold front will move through the area early Wednesday
with models differing with surface low position and strength.
This system should bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms
late Tuesday into early Wednesday. MOS guidance shows above
normal temperatures...decreasing to near average levels after the
frontal passage.

.MARINE...Surface high pressure ridge centered over the Carolinas
will shift south of the waters tonight through the weekend with
east winds becoming southerly by morning. A weak cold front will
push into the area Sunday night with another stronger cold front
expected by midweek. No headlines expected.
