Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
420 PM EDT Wed Mar 18 2020

.DISCUSSION...
An area of low pressure will bring a period of rain to Southern New
England late tonight. Parts of the interior would see a wintry mix
that changes to rain. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are
possible, mainly in the higher elevations of Western and Central
Massachusetts.

Minimum relative humidity values on Thursday will range from 70 to
85 percent. Winds on Thursday afternoon will gust 25 to 35 mph on
Cape Cod and the Islands.

OUTLOOK...Thursday night through Tuesday...

Scattered showers will linger Thursday night into Friday night with
mild temperatures on Friday. A cold front crosses the region Friday
night followed by dry but much colder conditions for Saturday. Large
high pressure will keep dry weather in place through midday Monday.
Low pressure may bring another round of scattered rain showers
Monday night and Tuesday.
