terminals on the edge of a LLJ set to develop over central Texas.
Models develop stratus to the east overnight, and KMAF looks like
the most likely candidate to catch some MVFR cigs overnight.

DISCUSSION...

An upper trough is over the Pacific Northwest and another upper 
trough is over the northeast U.S. This pattern has put West Texas 
and southeast New Mexico under west flow aloft. Temperatures today 
will be similar or just slightly warmer than yesterday with highs 
mostly in the 60s. The upper trough to the west digs further south 
on Thursday with surface winds across the area becoming 
southwesterly. This will result in temperatures warming up into the 
70s. 

The upper trough begins to move over West Texas and southeast New 
Mexico on Friday. This will result in gusty west winds for Friday 
across the area. Strong winds will be possible in the Guadalupe 
Mountains Friday afternoon. There is also a slight chance of rain 
for areas generally west of the Upper Trans Pecos Friday afternoon. 
Temperatures are expected to cool on Friday with cooler heights 
moving over the region. A cold front pushes into the area Friday 
night resulting in temperatures cooling into the 50s for most of the 
CWA on Saturday. The upper trough over the region lifts 
northeastward on Saturday with another upper trough digging 
southeastward over the western U.S. Temperatures are expected to 
warm back up into the 60s for most of the area on Sunday as south to 
southwest winds return. Temperatures will generally be in the 60s 
and 70s for Monday through Wednesday of next week with no 
precipitation expected.
