The short term forecast for Monroe, Wayne, Northern Cayuga, and Oswego counties. Multiple narrow bands of lake effect snow will continue this evening east of Rochester to Syracuse. Each band is about 5 miles wide with rapidly varying road conditions and visibility throughout the region. Travelers should use caution and be prepared for highly variable road conditions. Snow accumulation will similarly vary widely, but most areas should see and inch or two over the next several hours.
