Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Wyoming and WRN South Dakota
National Weather Service Rapid City SD
358 PM MDT Sun Oct 20 2019

.DISCUSSION...A strong storm system continues to cross the area
tonight, bringing rain and snow to the area. Upslope enhanced
snowfall over the northern Black Hills and Bear Lodge Mountains
will result in heavy snowfall of 6 inches or more, especially
across the higher elevations. Gusty north-northwest winds on the
back side of the system will persist through the evening,
strongest across the west central South Dakota plains. Quieter
weather is expected for the first part of the week, but winds will
remain breezy across much of the area.
