...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH
SATURDAY MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of central South Dakota, east central 
  South Dakota, south central South Dakota, and southeast South 
  Dakota, including the following areas, in central South 
  Dakota, Jerauld. In east central South Dakota, Beadle, 
  Brookings, Kingsbury, Lake, Miner, and Sanborn. In south 
  central South Dakota, Aurora, Brule, Charles Mix, and Douglas. 
  In southeast South Dakota, Davison, Hanson, Hutchinson, and 
  McCook. 

* From 6 PM CDT this evening through Saturday morning

* Thunderstorms will move through the region Friday evening into
  the overnight hours. Rainfall totals may exceed 1 to 3 inches.

* In addition to ponding of water, localized rapid rises in area
  streams and creeks will be possible. Short duration flash
  flooding may also be possible into the overnight hours. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

  Dakota, including the following areas, in southwest Minnesota, 
  Pipestone and Rock. In South Dakota, Bon Homme, Clay, Lincoln, 
  Minnehaha, Moody, Turner, and Yankton. 

* From 10 PM CDT this evening through Saturday morning

* Thunderstorms will move through the region Friday evening into
  the overnight hours. Rainfall totals may exceed 1 to 3 inches.

* In addition to ponding of water, localized rapid rises in area
  streams and creeks will be possible. Short duration flash
  flooding may also be possible into the overnight hours.

  Murray, and Nobles. 

* From 10 PM CDT this evening through Saturday morning

* Thunderstorms will move through the region during the overnight
  hours and into Saturday morning. Rainfall totals may exceed 1 
  to 3 inches.

* In addition to ponding of water, localized rapid rises in area
  streams and creeks will be possible. Short duration flash
  flooding may also be possible into the daybreak hours of
  Saturday.
