Through 300 pm, a few showers will continue to move westward near 15
mph across portions of the Florida Keys Island Chain out to the Dry
Tortugas National Park, as well as the surrounding Florida Bay,
Nearshore and Offshore Gulf, and Hawk Channel waters. Farther
offshore, scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will impact all
of the Florida Straits waters out 60 nm from the Florida Reef.
Mariners and motorists in the path of the stronger showers will
encounter brief moderate rainfall accompanied by brief reductions in
visibility to less than 3 miles, isolated wind gusts around 25 mph,
and possibly a few lightning strikes.
