Temperatures this afternoon were in the 70s where rain has fallen, otherwise upper 80s to low 90s in dry locations. Showers and thunderstorms will continue throughout the afternoon and evening, as the hot and humid weather continues to hold over central Illinois. Some storms could become strong will heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and small hail. This weather pattern is expected to continue through Friday. Lows tonight will drop into the 70s around the Midwest, with highs Thursday in the 80s to near 90. $$
